Hardcore4life - 2CD
Mixed by Nosferatu & Meccano Twins
|
|
“Hardcore 4 life”, a motto many hardcore lovers use to express their dedication to their favorite genre... It’s also the title of the highly successful party concept by B2S, held since 2001.... And it serves as the perfect name for a CD-compilation that brings you nothing but the best new, raw and energetic hardcore tracks, mixed and compiled by elite international hardcore artists.
For this new edition, heavyweights Nosferatu and the Meccano Twins are up for the job of delivering a devastating piece of sound-sculpting to you. Nosferatu fills disc one of this two-CD-set with a wide range of quality mainstream, such as Mad Dog’s “Nasty”, DJ Neophyte & Tha Playah’s “ Still nr. 1” and Tommyknocker’s trashed remix of “Payback”, but also blends in some of the tougher stuff like Day-Mar with “No Prada” and Noisekick with “ Hij loopt rondjes”.
If this carnage has you longing for more, Italian-based Meccano Twins are happy to deliver on disc two... Even though “happy” is not really the best description to use for their 20-track-assault on your sound system; Meccano Twins delve deep into the darker side of hardcore and test your endurance with industrial-influenced tracks as “The rosy-lipped batfish” by Enzyme X, “8 bit racket” by Broken Rules and their own “Tendrils of agony”, but also serve up some straight, but highly powerful tracks like “Enemy” by Na-Goyah, Tha Playah remix of The Headbanger’s “In your head” and “Strangle and mutilate” by Angerfist.
Both Nosferatu and Meccano Twins provide you with the best in current hardcore and serve it up in two flawless mixes, with a total of 35 hardcore killers. If you consider yourself “Hardcore 4 life”, be sure to not miss out on this one!!!!

Full on Ferry - The live registration DVD
|
|
*Update* Check out this nice interview with Ferry on Partyflock.
Ferry Corsten is one of the most in-demand and successful DJ’s in the world, with fiercely dedicated fans known to follow him from city to city and gig to gig. But within the close-knit international DJ community, he’s regarded as something more: a studio, auteur with a fierce sense of sonic rightness; a real-deal producer creating the most complete, lavish, melodic records in dance music. In his sixteen year production career Corsten is one of the most prolific and successful dance artists in the market today.
With tons of releases, remixes and compilations, countless gold discs, numerous awards, nine artist albums under his belt and travelling the globe back and forth to feast audiences with his flawless DJ sets, the time had come to take on a new challenge. In collaboration with Dutch organisation UDC Events, Ferry Corsten presented “Full On Ferry – Masquerade” on the 27th of October 2007 in Ahoy, Rotterdam. An event which captured virtually the entire electronic spectrum, from sexy house to infectious electro and rough techno, with melodic trance trying it all together.
Taking of the masks of his alternate identities which he preciously used for many releases in the past symbolizes the broadening of Corsten’s musical horizons, explain the theme ‘Masquerade’ to the fullest. During Full On Ferry, his musical philosophy was optimally translated into sound, image, atmosphere and decoration, supported by internationally acclaimed artists like Erick E, Fedde Le Grand, Cosmic Gate, Christopher Lawrence, Dogzilla, Secret Cinema vs. Grooveyard and rising trance star Breakfast. A handful of world-class DJ colleagues, handpicked by Corsten personally.
This live registration DVD reflects Corsten’s versatility and his current musical vision, during what easily could be the very best gig in his impressive and successful career so far.

DJ Neophyte vs. Tha Playah - Still nr. 1
|
 |
When two hardcore-heavyweights combine forces, brace yourselves for the outcome. As is the story with this 37th release on Neophyte Records. DJ Neophyte and Tha Playah team up for three superbly produced new tracks. The A-side, “Still nr. 1”, is a great mid-tempo track which for sure will become a huge partyhit. The term Top Quality Hardcore doesn’t even come close describing the perfect fusion of devastating kicks and very effective melody of this track! “Negative”, the first track on the B-side, features cool edited vocals, an aggressive kick and a melody only Neophyte and Tha Playah can come up with. “Great Succes!” last but not least lends samples from our good friend Borat from Kazachstan and can be described as up-tempo, gimmicky, but combined with the most powerful kicks ever created. Great success assured when finishing of your set with this one!

Marlon S not only knows his stuff when producing with a colleague (as we can tell from Seismic number 27 ), but he also knows how to do it solo. His latest creations can be found on this new Tremble Tracks release. The track that can be found on the A-side, “Turn it Up”, has a great vibe to it that will put a big smile on your face while B-side tracks “Keep on Rockin’”and “Don’t lean Back” provide you with a more serious underground feel. Detonated Jumptraxx founder DJ Noizer returns for a co-op with Narcotica Project. They present a total of 4 tracks on this disc. The A-side features the title-track “Suck 4 Coke” and “D in the Place”, a cool bouncy track with a nice melody. Rotterdam Tekno, one of the first Dutch labels that focused on jump, is presenting it’s 19th release. Da Hustler provides you with 2 banging hits that will be appreciated by every lover of this style. The A-side is called “Bang me a ho”. Pure dancefloor stuff with vocals that are catchy as hell! Three Drives - Together
After the recent –and very well received- remixes of the sublime trancer “Greece 2000”, producer-duo Three Drives returns for another stunning remix episode on Massive Drive Recordings. This time, they have chosen to bring their tracks “Together” and “Feel the Rhythm” back to life. On the A-side, Erik de Koning provides you with his highly energetic rework of “Together”. It’s nice melody, catchy riff and great build-up makes this new version effective for every dance floor. The B-side is reserved for Ton Tb’s version of “Feel the Rhythm”, who has chosen for a more chilled out approach to this ultimate trance classic. The well-known vocals in combination with the laid back beats and fresh proggy sound will definitely classify this one as ideal summer stuff!!!!
